Review of approved financial dispute resolution scheme rules

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is currently seeking submissions on the rules for approved dispute resolution schemes.

Financial Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS) is one of four approved schemes. Each scheme has its own rules which govern their service, which means there are some differences in the complaints that can be accepted and values of claims between the different schemes.

As a scheme member or as a financial service consumer, you might like to share your views on jurisdictional differences between FDRS and the other schemes. You can read a summary document here which outlines the key differences. Submissions are due by 6 May 2021.

For further information or to make a submission, please visit the MBIE website.
